Hyssop, White
Hyssopus officinalis Albus
A very attractive plant with semi-evergreen, linear, aromatic leaves. In summer and early autumn it will have spikes of two lipped, tubular white flowers which are attractive to bees and butterflies. Plant in a sunny position in well drained neutral to alkaline soil. Cut back hard in spring so the plant does not become woody. Can be used in pot pourri, sparingly in salads, in medicine and to make a low hedge.
Height and spread 60cm (2ft).
