A magnificent form of this popular deciduous shrub which bears in late summer to autumn large conical florets up to 45cm (18ins) of dense, mainly sterile white flowers, which turn pinkish-white with age. The leaves are ovate, serrated and dark green. A vigorous bush which should be planted in a position with moist soil in full sun or partial shade and sheltered from late frosts. Height 10-20ft (3-6m), spread 2.4m (8ft).
