A self-clinging with aerial roots, vigorous climber with dark green leaves which turn yellow in autumn before falling. It is slow to establish but then will grow rapidly reaching up to 21m (70ft) in favourable conditions. In June large, flat heads of white sterile flowers appear in 18 - 25cm (7-10ins) clusters, giving a magnificent display. These turn papery and remain into winter. This plant will thrive on a north or north-east facing wall. Not suitable for dry sites. Height up to 21m (70ft).
