This very attractive Basil has masses of tiny, brilliant green leaves which are less than 1cm (1/4 in) long. It has a compact tight growing habit, forming a perfect spherical shape without pruning and is, therefore, very attractive in a pot. It has a subtle, sweet flavour and is wonderful in Italian as well as other dishes.

Basil is tender and grows well outside in warmer weather in full sun or partial shade in moist but well drained soil, but also grows well inside in a sunny position all year round.
