Evergreen sub-shrub with fairly large green leaves which emit a strong lemon scent when brushed against. This variety is an excellent culinary variety as it is good with savoury dishes such as chicken and fish, but is also good with desserts. Produces pink-white flowers in summer which should be trimmed off after flowering. The flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies.

Plant in a sunny position in light, poor soil. If the soil is heavy it will be less aromatic and will not flower so well.
