Flowering Currant, King Edward VII in flower. Display hedge at the Garden Centre.

Colourful deciduous shrub with fragrant mid to dark green lobed leaves and masses of really colourful 2 to 4 inch (5 to 10cm) long pendent intense crimson flowers from late March to May. These are followed by globose blue-black berries in autumn.
HEDGE Trim after flowering and again in August. For hedges 3-5ft (0.9m-1.5m). Plant 2ft (60cm) apart.
SHRUB 6ft x 5ft (1.8m x 1.5m).
