Tayberries are a cross between an Oregon Blackberry and a Raspberry. White flowers appear from July followed by regular heavy crops of excellent, juicy, purple-pink fruit from mid July-August. They can produce up to 30Kg (66lbs) in fruit from the 3rd year.
Suitable for dessert, jam-making and freezing. Grow against a wall, fence or train on wires. They need a rich moist soil and a sunny or partially shaded position. Self-fertile, but cross pollinated plants yield larger fruits.
Bounty Berry is a thorny variety with deliciously tasty, very large, elongated fruit. Plant 2.4m (8ft) apart.
