An evergreen, bushy, medium sized shrub which has broadly oval, leathery dark green leaves. From late winter to early spring it produces flattened clusters of deep pink buds which open up to small, starry, scented white flowers. These are followed by bunches of deep metallic blue berries which are enjoyed by birds. Plant in partial or full shade but if in the sun the flowers will be produced in more profusion.
