A compact, bushy plant with narrow, lance shaped, pale grey-green leaves with a white edge. From mid-spring to early summer it produces panicles of tiny flowers which are surrounded by yellow-green bracts which are attractive to bees, butterflies and moths. Cut back flower heads after flowering, but with the protection of gloves as the sap which will ooze out is a skin irritant, especially in the sun. An evergreen which should be planted in sun or partial shade.
