Miner’s Merlot has a compact habit, and rich, dark-purple foliage even in the summer. From June to September it produces a splendid display of lime-green flowers, which are attractive to bees and butterflies, and are a fantastic contrast to the dark foliage. It is generally evergreen, is heat and drought resistant and should be planted in full sun to partial shade.

Cut back flower heads after flowering, but with the protection of gloves as the sap which will ooze out is a skin irritant, especially in the sun.
