The leaves of this evergreen Euphorbia emerge with a pink flush then develop red marked creamy-yellow margins which will be tinged pink in colder weather. The centre of the leaves is a soft green. From March to July, it produces flower heads of green bracts with a prominent central small red flower which are loved by bees. Cut back flower heads after flowering, but with the protection of gloves as the sap which will ooze out is a skin irritant, especially in the sun. This euphorbia forms a weed smothering ground cover.
