Ceanothus are a genus of evergreen and deciduous shrubs which are cultivated for their small but very profuse flowers. They are suitable for growing in a shrub border or against sunny walls but can be tender if not in full sun and sheltered from strong cold winds or in a cold position. They should be grown in fertile, well-drained soil and although lime tolerant, may become chlorotic on shallow chalk soils. They make excellent shrubs to train against a sunny wall where they would reach almost double their height if free standing.Caeonothus Autumnal Blue is a fast growing evergreen variety of upright habit with finely toothed, glossy, bright green leaves. Abundant fluffy clusters of rich, sky-blue flowers from July to October giving welcome colour at the end of the season. Prune to shape, if necessary, in early spring.
Height and Spread: 2.5m x 2.1m (8ft x 7ft).
