Plant shrubs and conifers to ensure you have colour and interest all year round. There is such a variety of choice and even shady areas will benefit from colourful shrubs such as Golden Euonymus, Elaeagnus ebbingei Limelight or Silver Hedgehog Holly. Many roses (listed in our roses section) make wonderful shrubs.

Make sure you do a little research before planting to make sure your choice is suitable for the spot where you intend to plant – a plant is an investment and one that gets too big, or too small will be a disappointment. Use the filters on the left to help you choose the perfect plants for your garden.
