Very aromatic, evergreen grey-green leaves. Whorls of scented lavender-blue flowers on abundant 15cm (6ins) spikes which are attractive to bees and freely produced in summer. In full sun the plant produces a wonderful aroma when in flower. Trim flower spikes after flowering to encourage a further flush of flowers. Makes a most attractive informal edging plant for positions with well drained soil. To prevent the plant from being flattened by cats, who find it irresistible, push some sharp twigs in amongst the foliage as it is growing.
HEDGE Trim after flowering. For hedges 60 - 90cm (2 - 3ft). Plant 30 - 45cm (12 - 18ins) apart.
SHRUB 3ft x 2ft (90cm x 60cm).

Planting Distances for planting as a Hedge
We recommend planting Nepeta Six Hills Giant in a single row between 30cm/12ins apart and 45cm/18ins apart:
Planting closer will mean the plants will grow together and form a hedge quicker, but requires more plants.
To calculate the number of plants needed for a length of hedging, click on Planting Distance Calculator above.
Planting Guide & RootGrow
We recommend planting with RootGrow. The recommended amount for RootGrow for an order will be shown in your shopping basket.
We will send out a planting guide with your order, you also can find a guide to planting here.
