Hedging
Why plant a hedge? Well hedges have many advantages over other screens or fences. To list just a few:
- They are permanent living structures which improve the air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen and passively absorb pollutants.
- They look attractive and some emit wonderful perfumes.
- They can reduce noise pollution.
- They do not blow down in storms.
- There are many different plants which make attractive hedges – pretty well a hedge for any situation.
- They create great habitats for wildlife.
