Goji Berries are a highly nutrition-rich fruit which can be eaten raw straight from the plant, cooked or dried and added to breakfast cereal or eaten as a healthy snack. Also the leaves and young shoots can be used as a leafy vegetable.
They are very hardy tolerating temperatures as low as -15˚C (5˚F) or as high as 40˚C (104˚F), and they are drought tolerant when established. They are self-fertile and one plant can produce over 1Kg (2lbs) of fruit in its second season. They were originally cultivated in the Himalayan mountain region, and for over 2,000 years they have been recorded in folk lore for their unrivalled nutritional properties.
Flowering: July to September. Height: 1.8m (6ft). Position: Requires full sun.
