Grapevines

All varieties are hardy and grow well outside in a sunny position on south or west facing wall, or they can be trained with a stem, or onto wires as in a vineyard with the rows running north to south, or they can be trained as a free standing bush. They are also suitable for protected inside cultivation under glass or polythene. Plant in well drained but not too fertile soil, preferably alkaline to neutral neutral, so lime acid soils to raise the pH level of the soil. Self-fertile.
