Climbers have many different uses in the garden including covering ugly walls or fences, giving life to an otherwise 'dead' area, adding colour and perfume. Some are self-clinging and others will need support and tying in to the area they are to cover.
Like all types of plants their vigour and eventual height needs to be carefully considered before planting. Using the filters should help you choose a suitable plant for the position to be covered.
There are many other plants which are not listed in this section which are also suitable, for example many fruit trees make excellent, attractive and productive wall cover plants. Also Euonymus and climbing roses make good climbers.
