A compact, slow growing, compact, evergreen shrub with unusual variegated leaves. They are holly-like with coarse spines, glossy and very variable, dark green, marbled and flecked with cream and often tinged pink or bronze when young. In late summer to early autumn. clusters of tubular, jasmine-like, fragrant white flowers appear which are loved by bees, and which are occasionally followed by blue-black fruits which provide food for birds in winter.

These are normally sold in small 9cm wide pots, unless a different pot size is shown (where the pot size is shown in litres). Pot grown plants can be planted at any time of the year.

Pot Grown are generally available all year.
