A truly dramatic variety with its twisted vibrant leaves with dark green irregular margins which provide a strong contrast to the very pale creamy white centres. This variety will certainly brighten up a dark area of the garden. In July and August spikes carrying small clusters of lavender-blue flowers stand up above the foliage. Forms a compact, upright mound.

Hostas make ideal ground cover plants for sun or partial shade and once established can be left undisturbed for years. This variegated variety keeps its colouring better if planted in semi-shade. They thrive in well-drained but moisture retentive soils and this should be enriched with well rotted compost or leaf-mould. The foliage is most attractive and in the summer the plants are crowned with racemes of nodding trumpet-like flowers which are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. They are also good planted in pots and containers and can brighten up a shady area with their green and creamy-white variegated foliage.
