A colourful half-hardy annual with very attractive orange flowers from summer to early autumn. Deadhead the flowers regularly to prolong the flowering season. Round green leaves. They prefer well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. The seeds, flowers and leaves can all be used, especially in salads, as they have a strong peppery flavour.
