Dense, mound forming Hosta with wavy, heavily-corrugated, slightly cupped, blue-green leaves which hold their colour well throughout the season. Medium sized, near white, bell-shaped flowers with lavender stripes on spikes formed in summer.

Hostas make ideal ground cover plants for sun or partial shade and once established can be left undisturbed for years. They thrive in well-drained but moisture retentive soils and this should be enriched with well rotted compost or leaf-mould. The foliage is most attractive and in the summer the plants are crowned with racemes of nodding trumpet-like flowers which are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. They are also good planted in pots and containers. The foliage will die down in the winter then re-shoot in the spring. Height 70 - 75cm (28 - 30ins), spread 75 - 80cm (30 - 31ins).
