Clump forming with pinnately lobed basal leaves. From July to September it produces a succession of long lasting, deep crimson pincushion-like flowers 3-4cm (1.2-1.6ins) wide held high on slender stems. These are a magnet for bees and butterflies and are good for cutting. Dead head flowers to encourage more flowering. Plant in full sun in well drained soil, preferably alkaline. Cut back to the ground during autumn to encourage better growth for the following season. Height 75cm - 1m (30-40ins), spread 50cm (20ins).

These are normally sold in small 9cm wide pots, unless a different pot size is shown (where the pot size is shown in litres). Pot grown plants can be planted at any time of the year.
Availability
Pot Grown are generally available all year.
If a plant is currently out of stock because it is out of season (for example, bare rooted plants in summer) or we have sold out but we are expecting more to be available you can pre-order the plant. We only charge credit/debit cards when an order is despatched, not when an order is placed.
