This is a vigorous, easy-to-grow variety has a bushy, upright habit and healthy, finely-toothed, glossy bright green leaves The flowers are large, loosely double, iridescent purple that gently fade to slate-blue as they mature. The intensely perfumed blooms appear repeatedly in clusters from July to September. This is a good rose to use in a mixed border as the colour is strong against its shrubby-like stems.
