This variety starts cropping well when young, producing consistent heavy crops. Skin pale green ripening to yellow with gold or brown russeting. Excellent flavoured pale yellow flesh which is sweet and juicy. Compact habit, so best choice for growing as a cordon. Good pollinator, reasonably self-fertile but better with a pollinator. Raised in East Malling, Kent in 1977. Cross between Conference and Doyenne du Comice.
