Ribes culverwellii jostaberry

Blackcurrant x gooseberry hybrid. Pleasant sharp flavoured fruits resembling blackcurrants, but twice the size, are borne on upright thornless, vigorous bushes. Fruit excellent for jams, pies and summer puddings. Prolific cropper, highly disease resistant. Cultivate like a blackcurrant. Self-fertile. 2 year bushes. Plant 6ft (1.8m) apart.
