CRAB APPLE, JAPANESE (Malus floribunda)

An easily grown small deciduous tree, remarkably beautiful when in flower, the profusion of crimson flower buds opening to white or pale blush 1 inch (2.5cm) wide flowers in April or May. These are followed in autumn by small red and yellow crab apples. It is self-fertile. Attractive arching branches.
TREE 12ft x 10ft (3.7m x 3m) in 20 years, ultimate height up to 30ft (9m).
