Himalayan Birch in winter at Anglesey Abbey.

A remarkable tree in winter when the peeling, paper-thin, dazzling white bark is outstandingly beautiful. Upright habit with mid-green leaves which turn golden-yellow in autumn. Yellow-brown catkins in spring. Magnificent if three are planted closely together, to give the appearance of a multi-stemmed tree.
TREE 25ft x 10ft (7.6m x 3m) in 20 years, ultimate height 40ft (12m).
