Very fast growing dense evergreen conifer. It makes a splendid specimen tree, columnar with a narrow, dense, conic top. Grows 2.5-3ft (75-90cm) a year. Makes a good dense hedge and can be kept relatively low and narrow if regularly clipped. HEDGE Trim in September. Plant 2ft (60cm) apart for 6ft (1.8m) hedge. For taller hedges or screens the planting distance should be about a quarter of the proposed height. CONIFER 50ft x 15ft (15m x 4.6m) in 20 years, ultimate height 100ft+ (30m+).
