Masses of dense spikes of fragrant, bluish-purple flowers all summer, held above greyish-green, slender, aromatic, evergreen foliage. Flowers are highly attractive to bees and other nectar seeking insects. Sunny position, well drained soil. The dried leaves and flowers of Lavenders are useful in pot-pourri. The flower heads should be cut before they are fully open.
We recommend planting lavender in spring. We do not normally send lavender plants in winter. UK grown plants.
HEDGE Trim in April. For hedges about 18 ins (45cm). Plant 12-15ins (30-38cm) apart.
SHRUB 18ins x 2ft (45cm x 60cm).
