A variation on the well known cress with a less curly leaf and a unique flavour which is hotter and stronger than traditional varieties. Incredibly easy to grow on the windowsill, in the conservatory or greenhouse and ready to harvest in 5-6 days. Delicious in sandwiches, salads or as a garnish.
Sowing Instructions. Sow in trays of good seed compost, and place the tray on a warm window sill, providing a minimum temperature of 15-20C (59-68F). Sowing Depth: Lightly cover seeds with finely sieved compost or vermiculite. Sowing Time: All Year Round. After sowing, keep trays moist at all times, but not waterlogged. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Germination usually takes 7-14 days.
Growing Instructions. Once seedlings are 5cm (2in.) high in the trays, they are ready to harvest. Simply cut with scissors, wash and add to your salad, in the same way as cress.
