Easy to grow separate colour with deep yellow, five petalled flowers distinctly spotted near the centre with red. The many flowers peer through abundant blue-green foliage and look spectacular in containers, borders, on the rockery or even used as ground cover. Flowers summer. Height 23cm (9in).
Sowing Instructions. Sow outdoors in spring where they are to flower, when the ground becomes workable, covering the seed to a depth of 20mm (¾in). Thin out the young plants to 30-45cm (12-18in) apart when the seedlings are large enough to handle. For earlier flowering or for containers, sow early spring at a temperature of 13-16C (55-60F) and transplant into 7.5cm (3in) pots.
Growing Instructions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost. They flower most freely in full sun and poor dryish soils. Before planting in containers make sure they are well rooted in their pots.
