A less common form of Mountain Ash which is extremely hardy and strong growing. Fern-like leaves are larger than the common form and in the autumn have superb autumn colours. In spring the tree bears large clusters of white flowers and these are followed in autumn by heavy bunches of sweet edible deep orange-red fruits delicious in autumn puddings or rowan jelly. Prefers an acid to neutral soil.
TREE 20ft x 10ft (6m x 3m) in 20 years, ultimate height 40ft (12m).
