Dense, tufted, semi-evergreen with long mid-green leaves and attractive bristled, silvery purple-green spikelets, turning golden when ripe are carried on long stemmed oat-like panicles. These are excellent dried for use in flower arrangements. Full sun. Height 6ft (180cm), spread 4ft (120cm).

Wonderful new variety of one of the most imposing of ornamental grasses with distinctive golden variegated evergreen foliage making a splendid setting for the 4ft (120cm) high white flower plumes which appear in late summer. Dramatic, deciduous grass that does not take up too much space. Neat clumps of erect and arching narrow blue-green leaves with central white stripe. In late summer and autumn, masses of upright feathery flower heads appear opening white-tinged-red then changing to silver. These shimmer in the sun and are excellent for cutting. Not a grass but has the appearance of grass, hence its common name. Evergreen clump forming perennial with strap-shaped, curving almost black leaves. Short bell-shaped purplish-white flowers in summer followed by spherical, fleshy blue-black fruits. Height 8ins (20cm), spread 12ins (30cm).

Evergreen, compact, densely tufted, clump-forming grass with dark green leaves which turn a wonderful golden yellow in autumn. Flowers, which last well into winter, appear in panicles up to 5 inches (12cm) long, greenish-white maturing to grey-brown, giving the appearance of furry dancing caterpillars! Dark green, evergreen, cylindrical leaves spiral up in shapes varying from tight curls to perfect spirals and corkscrews making a most unusual fascinating plant. Very hardy evergreen, tufting, medium green grass, which produces very attractive sprays of dainty, dangling, heart-shaped flowers in summer.
