A compact rounded bushy evergreen shrub with lance-shaped silky silver-green leaves. In May through to July it is smothered in 2 inch (5cm) wide, open funnel-shaped white flowers with a yellow centre. A close relation of bindweed but with a very different habit it will create a low silver hummock which holds its leaves in all but the harshest winters with the added advantage of the bindweed-like flowers.
